I just want to ask ...
- which Windows services I have to activate
- which ports I have to grant by the server's firewall
to get full WMI access to the server's resources.
We use the monitoring software PAESSLER to control our servers, but there is one server the software gets an error message because RPC.
The monitoring software isn't the problem.
When I try to connect by WMI (e.g. by my MMC console or by my own very simple WMI VBS script) I get the same error messages.
Is there a list of services + ports given by Microsoft?
The server's OS is Windows 2012 Standard.
